In January 2000, a framed version of the above duck photo was sent to President Bill Clinton, who was then in the waning days of his presidency and was considered a 'lame duck.'

This was spurred when we were informed by our resident archivist expert Nancy that gifts to the president are cataloged and given to the National Archives. So in our own way, NOT Duck has now entered into the National Archives.
