Off Season on the Cape

It has been a long semester for the duck, hanging around with friends at the BU School of Management, so he decided to join along when they made a quick run to the cape to escape for a day. Of course, he did wonder about their brains since they were going to the beach in the winter, but who was he to question them.

They went out to the beach to celebrate with a nice cigar. Now NOT was wary of them, afraid they would stunt his growth, and being a duck of limited size that's important. But he still decided to take a puff, turned green and never smoked one again.

While there, NOT decided he wanted to look more hip, and what is more hip today than body piercing? So he wanted to get an earring. But one small problem - he has no ears. So he tried a clop on earring, to a limited results. Maybe next time he'll try a bill ring.

Since Ptown is a fishing village, the duck was able to pick up some tips on fishing. He found out that the buoys usually heralded lobster traps and a good cooked lobster sounded good to him. So he perched himself on the buoy and waited. And waited. And waited. Guess he shouldn't have gone for one on land. Just as well - he probably would have been caught in the lobster's claws. Ouch!
