NOT Duck Celebrates Independence Day in Boston |
With J.J. Kwashnak and Friends |
July 4, 1997 |
NOT Duck decided to go see the world famous Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra perform their traditional 4th of July concert at the hatch shell in Boston. Unfortunately, the duck is not fond of extremely large crowds, being that he is a rather small duck. So he opted to stay with some friends of J.J.'s from BU.
Memorial Drive was closed so the duck and friends could get a good view of the Boston skyline across the river, including the Prudential Building, which would be a fabulous place to watch the fireworks from. Here he hangs out with new friends Jeff and Renee
Among the friends he made that day was Mary, from Georgia.
Before the concert began, the B2 Bomber flew overhead. The duck likes seeing anything flying.
Unfortunately, the fireworks came after he bedtime and he slept through them. Ducks are not known as being night creatures.
