Not Duck Truly Gets to Fly, Woodstock VT. |
With Doug and Lis |
September 1997 |
Despite his duck heritage, NOT Duck is a very poor flyer, at least under his own power. Sure, he's hopped along on airplanes in Alaska and to travel to his various destinations, he's not been used to the feel of being off the ground with the wind in his face. But all that changed when Doug and Lis took him along on their ballooning trip.
If you're going to fly, do it in style. Here NOT's green and brown is complimented nicely by the purple of his balloon. Style is always important to a duck.

Gee, it's really nice to have such a big basket for lil-'ol me. But then I won't get to see over the side and I'll miss the view. Such are the dilemmas of a little duck.
While on vacation, it's a good idea to keep the natives friendly. Here Doug and NOT share some quality time with dinner.
| Up Up And Away Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon We could float among the stars together, you and I For we can fly, we can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, my beautiful balloon The world's a nicer place in my beautiful balloon It wears a nicer face in my beautiful balloon We can sing a song and sail along the silver sky For we can fly we can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, my beautiful balloon Suspended under a twilight canopy We'll search the clouds for a star to guide us If by some chance you find yourself loving me We'll find a cloud to hide us We'll keep the moon beside us Love is waiting there in my beautiful balloon Way up in the air in my beautiful balloon If you'll hold my hand we'll chase your dream across the sky For we can fly we can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, my beautiful balloon
