6/25/05: After hiking for a mile and a half on a mist-shrouded
trail in Mill Valley, north of the Golden Gate Bridge, NOT
(accompanied by Dave and east coast visitors Kat and Bob) found the
Tourist Club, a German beerhall hidden in the woods. Owned by an
international environmental group since 1912, this lodge had three
tap lines and another dozen kinds of bottled beer we had never even
heard of, a fireplace and game room, and rooms where members could
sleep during multi-day hikes.
